INDEPENDENT DRAWING PROJECT

Project Description:

In this assignment you will be required to explore the use of two complementary materials or mediums.

Goals:

            To create a drawing that demonstrates a strong comprehension of the two chosen materials/mediums and their technical potential.

Materials:

            Any two mediums/materials that are sufficiently different enough.

            ex: Photography and Illustration.

Requirements:

This is to be a well-rendered drawing that must have a fairly even distribution of both materials. The materials must also be applied in ways that are apparent to the viewer. The minimum size is 18” x 24”. Go wild!

Methods:

Choose a subject that interests you and experiment with the materials to enhance its importance or significance to you.

Tips:

            Do several rough sketches experimenting with the desired materials.

Manage time wisely – put as much effort into the second material that you would the first.

DO NOT save this project for the last minute!

Due: Thursday, May 3^rd at the beginning of class for a critique.
